Material and production

Gravity® weighted blankets are handmade and consist of 100% organic Spanish cotton certified with Oeko Tex Standard 100. They consist of many square compartments, which are filled with glass microbeads. This ensures that the weight is evenly distributed over the entire length of the blanket.

Although it is customary to fill weighted blankets with plastic granules, we have chosen to use glass micro granules. This is because they are of higher quality and give a nicer feeling. These glass microbeads are produced in the Czech Republic and consist of 85% silicon dioxide (SiO2) and sodium oxide (Na2O).

The glass microbeads help keep the Gravity® blanket breathable. Thanks to the air permeability, the temperature under the blanket is in balance, creating a pleasant feeling of warmth.

The cuddly and soft covers of our Gravity® blankets are made in Poland and consist of 100% soft velour. One side is covered with soft velor and the other has a square pattern. Both sides feel very pleasant on the skin and provide a lot of relaxation.

All Gravity® blankets are suitable for allergy sufferers because they are hypoallergenic.

We promote sustainable production with the idea that economic performance, social responsibility and environmental protection are inextricably linked. It is important to us to use sustainable materials and to maintain fair working conditions throughout the production process.

Take the example of the electricity for our production hall. This is generated from solar energy. We also separate our production waste.

We also promote the labor participation of people with a mental or physical disability in our production process.

We only use environmentally friendly and biodegradable packaging.

Washing and cleaning your weighted blanket

Our Gravity® blankets are easy to wash. They have a zipper that allows the velor perimeter to be removed. You can then wash it in the washing machine at 30ºC. The Gravity® blankets can also be washed, but you have to be careful and take into account the recommended maximum weight for your washing machine. We advise and recommend that you do not use a tumble dryer.
